Oh how much it pays to be clever. The reigning games champion Angry Birds has been overtaken by a 14 year old’s invention that has moved to occupy the number one position in the Apps Store top free apps list. The Game dubbed Bubble Ball was downloaded 400,000 times on Thursday becoming number one. Robert Nay is an eighth grader in Spanish Fork Utah. He created the game together with his mother Kari Nay. Nay started designing the game in November a friend urged him to come up with an app. He was responsible for the programming and the art in the game while his mom designed the game levels. The game was launched on the 29th of December and from then on, it has been downloaded around 2 million times. Although Angry Birds remains the top paid app, the eighth grader must be applauded for his big accomplishment especially in view of the fact that he was working solo and also because it was his first attempt.  Angry Birds was created by a couple of minds working together in the Rovio Company which has created around 50 games since 2003. Bubble Ball was first launched on the iPhone and then introduced to the Android platform a week and a half later.
