Market America And Shop.com To Form A Powerful Alliance

Market America an Internet marketing product brokerage company has now acquired Shop.com. Shop.com is a shopping comparison site whose mission is to give customers the most compelling shopping experience. As of now the financial details of the transaction have not yet been made public. The entities will continue to operate their websites separately during a transition period. Shop.com facilities in different locations like London and in Monterey and Pasadena will also continue their business without being interrupted so far. When put together the two companies have over 650 employees. The acquisition aims to combine the technology and merchandising power of Shop.com with the high standards of personal shopping experience offered by Market America to give customers a mix of the latest high-tech online shopping. Now Marketing America will not only be a shopping portal that is relationship based but also a destination that is rich in content giving customers entertainment, information and a well guided shopping experience. Shop.com’s CEO who was formerly a Disney Online director, Ken Goldstein will now become Market America’s strategic advisor.  Shop.com was founded in the late nineteen nineties and boasts some big names as some of its investors including, Yahoo, Amazon.com and Microsoft’s founder Bill Gates.
