Technology Field To Hire Next Year
CareerBuilder has released its annual job forecast which shows that the prospects of landing a job in 2011 have improvement. In the new year most employers intend to increase the number of permanent employees. Most of the hires will be in the technology field as well as in fields that produce revenue. The survey was conducted by Harris Interactive and involved more than 2,400 human resource professionals and hiring managers. It was carried out from the 15th of November to the 2nd of December 2010. The survey revealed that more than half the companies were in a better financial position than they were in 2009. Although job creation in the coming year will remain gradual, more and more businesses are growing confident of the economy. When numbers are broken down 24 percent of employers will hire fulltime permanent employees while around 7 percent plan to have some lay offs. A larger share of the employers, 58 percent, do not intend to make any changes on their work force and the other group of 11 percent are not sure whether they will make any changes. Of the employees who have some temporary or contract workers, 39 percent intend to have some transitions into full time in 2011. Overall we can say that 2011 looks like a great year in terms of employment opportunities.
